Why a house call

A vet visit that doesn't start with a fight over the carrier

No carrier · No car ride

No travel stress

Most animals can tell when a trip to the vet is coming, and the worry starts long before the exam does. Without the carrier and the car ride, visits are calmer, quicker and kinder on everyone.

Calm · Familiar · Safe

Their own home

No busy waiting room, no strange smells, no barking from the next room. Pets relax where they feel safe, and a relaxed pet is easier to examine properly.

What I can do at home

Care for your pet, where they're comfortable

Most of what your pet needs from a vet in a year can happen in your living room. If your pet needs X-rays, dentistry or surgery, Dr. Browne will help you find the right clinic.

How a house call works

Three steps, and none of them involve the car

  1. 1

    Get in touch

Call 778-350-1005 or leave your number for a call back. Tell Dr. Browne about your pet and what's going on, and you'll find a time together.

  2. 2

The vet comes to your door

Dr. Browne arrives at the booked time with what she needs for the visit. Your pet stays on their own bed, couch or favourite rug.

  3. 3

    A plan you understand

She explains what she found and what comes next, in plain language, and follows up on any tests once the results are back.

Ready when your pet is.

Especially good for

Some pets need the vet to come to them

  • Senior pets

Stiff joints and a long car ride are a hard mix. Older pets are examined where they are comfortable.

  • Nervous pets

For the dog who shakes in the car and the cat who hides for a day after every visit.

  • Cats

No chasing them into a carrier. Most cats are far easier to examine on their own turf.

  • Big dogs, busy homes

No car, a dog too big to lift, or kids to work around? The vet comes to you.
